Spiel und Spielen sind zentrale Ideen in Takakos Werken: das Agieren und Reagieren, die Anleitungen und Regeln und vor allem das Entfalten der Fantasie. Von der Partitur bis zum Spielgerät, vom Brettspiel bis zum Theater hat sie die Möglichkeiten ausgelotet und Formen gefunden. Gewinnen ist nicht so wichtig. In einer ihrer Spiel-Partituren heißt es: „Sieger ist wahrscheinlich das Team, das mehr Freude am Spiel gehabt hat.“

The Ideas of game and playing are central to Takako’s works: the acting and reacting, the instructions and rules, and above all, the unfolding of the imagination. From the score to the play equipment, from the board game to the theater, she has explored the possibilities and found new forms. Winning is not the main point. One of their game scores says, „The winner is probably the team that enjoyed the game more.“
